The LiDaR equipment for wind measurement was put back into operation on January 7, with the reception in the last days of 2024 of a special grid-connected power supply. The LiDaR installation is a project of the AEA and GIOp - UNPA groups that seeks to contribute to the knowledge about wind energy in the region. This equipment, which had to be stopped in November due to a factory defect in the new battery system, is part of the work carried out by the CIT CONICET Fellow and PhD student Eng. Florencia Luna, and is part of the activities of PI Type I 29/A543. The new unit is a special low voltage and high current source (supplied by Provener SRL, while the warranty of the failed element is being processed) that is connected through a protection system to the AC grid. We especially appreciate the cooperation of the Uni maintenance team (especially MMO Antonio Clavel) to carry out the installation during holiday recess and leave the equipment operating. The battery / PV datalogger SISMED/FV24 (which has been operating non-stop since 2014) was also temporarily removed for maintenance and software upgrade.
