The XII Workshop on Lidar Measurements in Latin America (WLMLA) was held from April 7 to 12, 2024 at the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This biannual workshop seeks to bring together researchers and students who work with Lidar techniques to promote local and international communication and cooperation. The event was organized by the Latin American Lidar Network (LALINET), whose objective is to create a solid database to better understand the distribution of aerosols and their impact on the climate. The work presented by CONICET intern Florencia Luna was titled "A New Low cost LiDAR Approach with Application in Wind Resource Measurement in Southern Patagonia, Argentina", a poster that describes the concept proposed in her ongoing doctoral thesis.
