Between September 22 and 26 we were involved in commissioning and startup of the instrumentation for a VAWT-700 small wind turbine installed by CERE/UMAG (Punta Arenas, Chile). CERE has been pioneering activities related to wind measurements and vertical axis wind turbines within the last decade. Our visit was part of a FEDEI Project for advanced engineering students. A series of courses and presentations were performed for teachers and students involved in the installation since early 2021.
